Job summary

First Tech Federal Credit Union seeks a Manager, Category to lead a high-performing Category Management team. You will drive enterprise category strategies, optimize supplier performance, and deliver measurable value through leadership, market insights, and cross‑department collaboration.

You will oversee negotiations, governance, and risk management while partnering with business leaders to align sourcing with organizational goals. Strong collaboration and coaching skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in contract management, procurement, legal operations, or related areas.
• Experience leading a diverse team including hiring, coaching and performance management.
• Strong knowledge of contract lifecycle management and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Leads development and execution of category strategies, roadmaps, and supplier portfolios to deliver sustainable value and cost optimization.
• Provides leadership and performance management to build a high-performing procurement team with sourcing, supplier management, analytics, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Oversees complex sourcing initiatives, contract negotiations, and supplier selection to maximize value and mitigate risk.
• Acts as trusted advisor to business leaders with strategic procurement expertise and data-driven recommendations.
• Ensures compliance with procurement policies and risk management practices while delivering savings and performance targets.
