Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking a seasoned merchandising professional to lead category strategy and drive sales and profitability through smart product selection, pricing, and promotions.

The role focuses on category plans, lifecycle buying, and ensuring accurate planograms across stores. You will develop vendor relations, negotiate terms, plan promotions, and coordinate with inventory and store planning to ensure in-stock, well-displayed products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferred; relevant experience may substitute education.
• Five years of merchandising experience required.
• Knowledge of general merchandising and inventory management experience required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; intermediate to advanced Excel.
• Detail oriented and highly organized; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop category plans based on strategic plan and ensure execution of product strategies.
• Own full lifecycle of buying for assigned categories: sourcing, planning, buying, analysis, assortment, advertising/promotion, planograms.
• Engage in buying processes with vendor relations, product selection, negotiations, promotion planning, and cross-functional communications to keep stock aligned with planograms.
• Manage processes across staff to ensure consistency and quality of plan execution.
• Develop promotional strategies for the entire category and ensure category alignment.
• Set category/objectives and hold the team accountable for results.
