Job summary

M. C. Dean, Inc is seeking a skilled Carpenter for our Raleigh project to perform drywall, door installation, and structural framing across commercial facilities.

You will work under the Service Manager or TOM, ensuring quality finishes and adherence to security protocols. The role requires reading blueprints, using hand and power tools, and maintaining documentation. Applicants must meet safety standards and be able to lift heavy loads and work at various heights.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 8+ years of experience working in commercial facilities.
• Ability to read and understand architectural drawings.
• Ability to construct framing partition walls using varying materials, including drywall finishing to a level finish without visible surface imperfections under direct lighting.
• Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment.
• Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
• Records maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform drywall installation, finishing, and repair, including measuring, cutting, and securing panels to frameworks.
• Install, repair, and maintain interior and exterior doors, frames, hardware, and associated trim.
• Construct and assemble structural components inclusive of wood, metal, and other framing materials.
• Install and repair ceiling and drop ceiling structures with lighting, sprinkler heads, ducting and related equipment.
• Construct and repair platforms and access systems of non-cementous or metallic composition.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications with precision.
• Ensure all documentation adheres to security protocols.
• Collaborate with site security personnel and management for secure project execution.
