Job summary

Visiting Angels of Birmingham is seeking a compassionate Housekeeper and Companion Caregiver to support seniors in Homewood, Hoover and surrounding areas. You will provide light housekeeping, companionship, mobility assistance, meals and transportation support to help clients stay at home with dignity.

Requirements include excellent communication, reliability and ability to pass a background check; First Aid knowledge is a plus. Flexible shifts and weekly pay offered.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Excellent time management and reliability.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks.
Pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Manage light housekeeping for clients.
Encourage clients to meet exercise and fitness goals.
Prompt clients to take medications on time.
Assist with shopping and groceries as needed.
Plan and prepare meals in collaboration with clients.
Assist with mobility and accompanying to appointments or walks.
