Job summary

Ashe Services For Aging, Inc. is seeking a Nurse Aide 1 to provide personalized care for residents in an assisted living setting in West Jefferson, NC. You will support daily living activities, assist with meals and mobility, and maintain residents’ comfort and dignity.

Qualifications

Nurse Aide 1 certification or willingness to obtain Personal Care Services certification within 6 months.
Experience caregiving older adults.
Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

Provide personalized care and service in alignment with resident philosophy and policies.
Assist residents with activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living.
Follow each resident’s service plan; notify supervisors of changes in condition.
Answer resident calls promptly and respond to emergencies as needed.
Assist with meals, dining room activities, and transportation as required.
Help with laundry, housekeeping, and maintaining residents’ rooms."
Foster relationships with residents and their families.
Clean dining areas after meals and support overall facility operations.
Ensure safety through proper body mechanics and adherence to policies.
