Job summary

Sanford Health, the nation's largest rural health system, is seeking staff for Good Samaritan locations to provide resident care including medication administration, ADLs, and basic health services.

You will follow location standards, assist with bathing, dressing, transfers, meals, and housekeeping while maintaining safety, infection control, and compliance with SDS/OSHA guidelines. High school diploma and medication administration training are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or preferred, depending on state.
• Must complete and maintain medication administration training per state guidelines.
• GED may be required based on working state.
• If using lift equipment, must meet minimum state age requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with self-administration of medications.
• May administer medications with proper training.
• Assists residents with bathing and maintaining cleanliness.
• Helps residents with toileting needs and dressing.
• Assists residents in transferring, repositioning and walking.
• Obtains vital signs and reports health changes.
• Follows OSHA and CDC guidelines to minimize infections.
• Assists with preparing and serving meals and snacks.
• Cleans residents' rooms, bathrooms and work areas.
• Participates in community involvement and volunteers.
