Job summary

PACE by IIH is seeking a Food Service Aide to prepare and serve food, including texture modified and therapeutic diets, per facility menu. You will assist in ensuring proper receiving, storage, preparation, serving, sanitation, and cleaning per regulations.

Responsibilities include updating diet changes, maintaining safety and quality, and supporting dietary services staff. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds and work in a team-oriented environment in Bakersfield, CA.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food preparation and nutrition principles.
• Ability to follow therapeutic diet orders.
• Maintains sanitary kitchen conditions.
• Reads menus and recipes accurately.
• Maintains timely task completion.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food including modified textures and therapeutic diets.
• Updates diet changes per RD instructions.
• Cooks to FDA standards and maintains temperature control.
• Ensures proper storage, FIFO, and sanitation.
• Assists with stocking and ingredient quality control.
• Participates in staff meetings and adheres to policies.
• Wears appropriate attire and maintains cleanliness.
