Job summary

Happier At Home – Northeast Iowa is seeking an empathetic In-Home Senior Caregiver to support aging adults in their own homes across Northeast Iowa. You will provide companionship, assist with daily activities, and help maintain independence and quality of life.

We value dependable teammates who communicate well, manage their responsibilities independently, and maintain respectful, compassionate care. Starting pay is $16–$18 per hour with mileage reimbursement and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of caregiving experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction
• Assist with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry
• Provide medication reminders
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention
• Accompany clients to appointments and errands
• Observe and report changes in client condition
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication with the care team
