Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant for Priory Court Care Home in Stamford. You will support the care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, inclusive environment while upholding values of care, respect and accountability.

You will monitor residents’ wellbeing, assist with medications, and participate in person-centred planning and evaluations. DBS check and eligibility proof are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• 2 years experience in similar care environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Positive attitude to support residents and staff.
• Flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff. Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
• Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
• Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.

• Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• Have 2 years experience working in similar care environment.
• Have the ability tocommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

• Berresponsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
