Highland Park Rehabilitation and Care Center in Aurora, CO is seeking an Activities Assistant to plan and direct resident activities in alignment with assessments and wellbeing goals, and to assist the supervisor as needed. Requirements: High School diploma, 18+ years old, 2–5 years in an activities role in a skilled nursing or medical facility; pay rate $18-$21 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be 18 years or older
• 2–5 years in an activities capacity in a skilled nursing or medical facility
• Must meet health requirements per facility policies
• Ability to multi-task and treat others kindly and professionally
• Strong written, verbal, organizational and time management skills
• Customer service training or experience
• Works collaboratively or independently, following procedures and guidelines

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and conducting resident-specific activities.
• Maintain activities calendar as directed.
• Promote resident participation in activities.
• Arrange and transport residents to and from activities.
• Assume responsibilities in absence of supervisor.
• Provide timely resident assessments and progress notes as assigned.
• Work with all departments to promote quality care.
