Vanderbilt Health is seeking a dedicated professional to coordinate IRB submissions, amendments and ongoing reviews for cardiovascular clinical research. The role ensures adherence to policies and federal regulations while supporting translational efforts across multiple sites.

The position emphasizes obtaining informed consent, accurate data collection, and collaboration with investigators, sponsors and regulatory bodies to uphold participant safety and study integrity.

Qualifications

• Clinical research experience in a patient-facing setting, with preference for comprehensive participation beyond lab work.
• Experience obtaining informed consent and educating patients regarding study participation.
• Familiarity with CITI training and clinical research compliance requirements.
• Experience with patient screening, eligibility assessments, and protocol implementation.
• Knowledge of regulatory processes, IRB requirements, and clinical research documentation.
• Experience collecting, managing, and maintaining accurate clinical research data.
• Proficiency with electronic data capture systems, research databases, and related platforms.
• Strong attention to detail with data quality and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with investigators, patients, and teams.

Responsabilités

• Proficiently prepares and processes new IRB proposals, amendments, continuing reviews and adverse event reports according to policies and federal regulations.
• Maintains documents for regulatory authorities and sponsors before, during, and after trials; participates in site reviews.
• Identifies equipment and supplies needed to fulfill project requirements.
• Determines eligibility and supports recruitment strategies to complete studies on time.
• Assesses medical/historical information to ensure proper participant eligibility and continued participation.
• Records data onto case report forms with accuracy and timeliness; resolves data queries.
• Participates in site visits to review research procedures and documentation.
• Manages study budgets and ensures billing compliance with investigators and funding agencies.
• Advocates for human subjects and maintains clear communication with researchers, staff, sponsors, and participants.
