Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive ultrasound exams; follows established protocols to verify, plan, set up, perform, and report appropriate examinations.
• Verifies identity and informs and observes patient during procedure to ensure patient education, cooperation, and safety.
• Completes clerical tasks associated with ultrasound tests; records testing information accurately, completely, and in a timely manner; ensures timely reporting of critical results and maintains privacy.
• Communicates with physicians, patients, and other center personnel in a pleasant and informative manner; makes recommendations to supervisor on related duties, policies, and procedures.
• Enhances teamwork; demonstrates motivation, accountability, problem-solving, and willingness to mentor and develop others.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area; cleans patient areas, notifies supervision of needs, and ensures lab infection control policies are followed.
• Identifies personal learning needs; attends trainings, meetings, and aims to increase proficiency; suggests improvements to techniques and processes.
