Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health, Inc. invites experienced Registered Nurses to join the Cardiothoracic Surgery and Vascular Surgery teams on a per diem, part-time basis at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Massachusetts.

The RN will work under supervision to provide safe, evidence-based nursing care and participate in care coordination for cardiothoracic and vascular patients. The role emphasizes clinical judgment, professional relationships, and leadership in a teaching environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state approved and/or accredited School of Nursing.
• Current license to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• At least one year of experience as a practicing Registered Nurse, preferably in acute or sub-acute settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe patient care by coordinating and delivering high-quality nursing services.
• Coordinate care with the health care team and family members while maintaining Swanson’s Theory of Caring principles.
• Demonstrate clinical leadership and adherence to unit policies, procedures, and ANA Code of Ethics.
• Engage in professional relationships, educate patients and families, and participate in quality improvement activities.
