Job summary

The University of Miami Hospital & Clinics - Cardio Lab U is seeking a dedicated ultrasound technologist to perform cardiac ultrasound exams, review images, and ensure diagnostic quality.

You will position patients, operate equipment, maintain aseptic techniques, and collaborate with physicians. This role requires at least an Associate degree and 3+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in relevant field required.
• Certification and licensing requirements per department.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant ultrasound experience.

Responsibilities

• Searches for abnormalities in blood flow sounds, heart rhythm, oxygen saturation, and the appearance of the heart.
• Positions patients and explains procedures.
• Performs quality control functions.
• Evaluates ultrasounds for diagnostic quality.
• Prepares and sets up medical supplies using aseptic techniques.
• Develops ultrasound film and matches it with the appropriate paperwork for interpretation.
• Assists with the maintenance and compilation of statistical data.
• Provides training to new and student cardiac ultrasound technologists.
