Job summary

Equinix in Dallas is seeking a Capacity Engineer Senior Associate to resolve data management, design, and drawings for installations within a moderate scope. You will collaborate with sales, site operations, and engineering to optimize cage-cabinet layouts and capacity planning across multiple data centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
• Typically 3+ years of experience in data center capacity planning, facilities engineering, space planning, or mission‑critical infrastructure environments.
• Hands‑on experience with AutoCAD (or similar CAD tools), infrastructure documentation, and maintaining capacity or asset management data.
• Working knowledge of data center electrical and mechanical systems, with the ability to support moderate‑scope design, capacity feasibility, and cross‑functional problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Space Planning & Design: Creates standard Cage-Cabinet design options that respond to moderate customer requirements and site constraints.
• Engineering: Uses knowledge of electrical/mechanical infrastructure to attribute standard Cage-Cabinet designs within a moderate scope.
• Data & Drawing Management: Ensures AutoCAD drawings and capacity systems reflect the data center status within a moderate scope.
