Job summary

People, Technology & Processes, LLC is seeking a Lead Canine Trainer in Coronado, CA to lead training and evaluation of MPC teams and canine puppies. The role requires expert knowledge in KNPV/IPO working dogs, advanced training methods, and coordination of conditioning and qualification programs.

The successful candidate will oversee training for handlers and canines, participate in planning meetings, and ensure standardization across all MPC Team activities and equipment usage.

Qualifications

• Minimum of seven years' experience with KNPV or IPO working dogs sports.
• Five years' management experience in MPC and MPC Handler development programs, overseeing trainers and students.
• Minimum of seven years' experience in direct hands-on training of both handlers and canines in listed areas (obedi ence, explosives, bite work, tracking, infiltration, helicopter operations, fast rope, rappel, hoist, military vehicles).

Responsibilities

• Provide recommendations for conditioning programs for MPC and canine puppies.
• Provide recommendations for MPC Handler and student training and evaluation.
• Perform testing and evaluation services for canine, MPC, student, and equipment training.
• Attend meetings and provide SME recommendations on MPC training methods and equipment.
• Conduct standardized MPC and canine puppy training, including initial and sustainment phases, onboarding of puppies for MPC selection, and related care.
