Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking an extraordinary Embedded Software Engineer to drive pioneering camera and ISP technologies.

You will work on core Image Signal Processing pipeline and hardware components, defining how Apple develops, tests and manufactures products with a liberating amount of autonomy. This highly multi-functional role involves close collaboration with Silicon Design/QA and ML teams in a fast-paced environment, focusing on feature design, performance optimization and hardware testing

Qualifications

BS degree and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience.
10 years working experience in embedded software development.
Proficiency in C/C++.
Proficiency in developing multi-thread software within embedded RTOS.

Responsibilities

Develop low-level device drivers for image processing pipeline in embedded systems for the latest SoC blocks and chipsets.
Collaborate with high-level software clients using camera to understand requirements, use case and limitations, then design, implement and test the camera software stack.
Design and implement camera features in embedded systems and define features and communication protocols with implementation specifications.
Optimize and improve system performance in terms of power, usage, latency, jitter.
Work on HW validation and provide software support to factory testing, and implement features to support hardware testing and diagnosis.
