Job summary

Trescal is seeking a Calibration Technician Level 3 in the Pleasanton area to perform calibrations on high-level test and measurement instrumentation, both in-house and on-site. You will troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate equipment while interacting with customers to ensure traceability and compliance with standards.

The role requires an Associates Degree in Electronics or equivalent experience, 3–5 years in calibration, and strong knowledge of metrology, diagnostics, and precision measurement.

Qualifications

• Military training or Associates Degree in Electronics (or related field) or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years calibrating test & measurement equipment in commercial or military labs.
• Strong knowledge of metrology practices and theories; analog/digital circuit analysis.
• Experience with equipment used for calibration of electronic, mechanical, chemical, thermal, and/or dimensional devices.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair capabilities for unique equipment with limited information.
• Proficient in Windows-based and laboratory automation software.
• Statistical techniques for measurement uncertainty analysis.
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z-540-1.
• Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills; strong communication.
• Experience interacting with customers professionally.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibrations on high level and unique test and measurement instrumentation in house or on-site.
• Use troubleshooting, repair, and calibration knowledge on unique equipment.
• Interact with customers to determine needs related to traceability and standards.
• Interface with customers to determine needs for traceability and standards.
• Ensure preventative maintenance of laboratory equipment is performed timely.
• Inspect incoming equipment and verify accessories, manuals, and status.
• Create and verify calibration data sheets per instrument specs.
• Occasional overnight travel may be required.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.
