Job summary

Viatris is seeking a Senior Technician Calibration for the 3rd shift to support calibration activities for electrical meters, process equipment, and related instruments in our facility.

The role requires a technical background, knowledge of calibration tools and CCMS, and the ability to coordinate with the Owning Department to meet schedules and specifications. Exact compensation varies by location and experience.

Qualifications

• Technical degree/certification and two (2) years of experience are preferred.
• Minimum of High School Diploma and five (5) years of experience in a technical field is required or a combination will be considered.
• Must possess knowledge of power hand tools, hand tools, and test instruments for calibration.
• Must possess knowledge of plant machinery, equipment, replacement parts, piping, and calibration software, plus familiarity with word processing and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Execute calibration maintenance of electrical meters, line speed, footage meters, and other process equipment per calibration program.
• Follow procedures when equipment fails to meet calibration criteria and trace affected equipment and data.
• Document all calibration data in the CCMS and enter new records as required.
• Perform peer reviews of calibration records completed by other Technicians.
• Make recommendations and/or corrective actions when equipment fails calibration criteria.
• Maintain schedules and CCMS records for calibrated equipment; set up new/revised instrument records.
• Coordinate with Owning Department to ensure timely completion and adherence to specs.
• Clean up equipment and work area after calibration functions.
• Provide training to other Technicians based on experience and skill level.
• Provide guidance to junior Technicians for skill development.
• Research new instruments and calibration equipment to ensure standardization where possible.
• Maintain flexibility to perform duties outside normal area to meet Maintenance Dept goals.
