Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a Principal Engineer for Process Instrumentation & Contro l to act as a technical SME in calibrations and to provide hands-on and formal training for calibration, engineering and end users. The role involves ensuring calibrations meet engineering requirements and participating in training and procedures updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; 10 years of calibration/PLC and microprocessor experience, preferably in pharma.
• Strong background in hands-on work and in creating formal training plans.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills are required.

Responsabilités

• Serve as subject matter expert and bridge gaps between calibration evaluations and specifications.
• Develop or revise calibration procedures as needed.
• Provide technical support for investigations (CAPAs) and root cause analyses.
• Deliver hands-on and/or formal training on usage and calibration to technicians and end users.
• Assist in maintenance of electronic systems (CMS, CMMS, TrackWise, Ereq) and review calibration documentation.
• Lead change control initiatives to upgrade instrumentation and resolve production impacts.
• Contribute to calibration programs and new processes moving into the plant.
• Ensure all work adheres to cGxP guidelines and company safety programs.
