Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a highly experienced calibration engineer in Missouri to own and improve processor, MCU, and memory calibrations across vehicle, bench, and CoSim environments. The role requires deep knowledge of MCU0–MCU3, HWIO, and low-level software behavior to ensure correct operation, performance, and stability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Controls, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in calibration, embedded software, infrastructure software, diagnostics, or microcontroller systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical understanding and improvement of processor, MCU, and memory calibrations.
• Develop guidance across MCU0–MCU3 to drive consistency in calibration applications.
• Analyze calibration behavior, dependencies, and program applicability across environments.
• Learn HWIO layer and low-level software behavior for tuning processor and MCU systems.
• Review calibration/test data and recommend sound adjustments when needed.
• Work with safety and cross-functional teams to balance technical intent with program needs.
• Identify root causes of complex calibration issues and support anomaly correction.
• Serve as the single source of truth for micro calibrations, including usage and guidance.
• Use AI tools and automation to analyze calibrations and accelerate work.
• Create tools and workflows that improve repeatability and reduce manual effort across calibration domain.
• Challenge unnecessary complexity and pursue simplification or automation when possible.
• Establish stronger best practices and scalable operating methods across processor, MCU, and memory calibrations.
