Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a seasoned CAE Durability Engineer to lead finite element simulations for vehicle durability and structural performance. You will develop high-quality FE meshes, run nonlinear analyses with Abaqus, and collaborate with design, testing, and validation teams to drive robust vehicle systems.

The role requires 6+ years of CAE experience in automotive or related industries, proficiency in ANSA, HyperWorks, META, and nCode, and a strong ownership mindset to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering required.
• 6+ years of CAE experience in automotive or related industries required.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with ANSA, META, HyperWorks, Abaqus, or similar CAE software.
• Strong finite element modeling and meshing experience.
• Experience performing nonlinear finite element analysis using Abaqus.
• Experience performing fatigue and durability assessments.

Responsibilities

• Construct high-quality finite element meshes and models for body, chassis, and vehicle subsystems.
• Develop complex vehicle-level CAE models supporting durability and structural performance evaluations.
• Perform nonlinear finite element analyses using Abaqus to evaluate component and system durability.
• Perform fatigue life evaluations using nCode post-processing tools.
• Lead research efforts focused on enhancing CAE durability methodologies.
• Investigate durability concerns and develop countermeasures with design teams.
• Prepare and deliver technical reports and engineering recommendations.
