Job summary

Natural Resources Management, LLC is seeking an experienced CAD Technician to support our civil engineering and land surveying team. You will work hands-on, producing accurate Civil 3D drawings and collaborating with surveyors, engineers, and project managers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive CAD experience in civil engineering or surveying.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong knowledge of civil plan production and survey drafting.
• Experience processing field survey data and creating surfaces.
• Detail-oriented with ability to interpret plans and legal descriptions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and other survey drawings and exhibits
• Process field survey data and develop surfaces, contours, and digital terrain models
• Build and manage Civil 3D surfaces, alignments, corridors, and pipe networks
• Support grading analysis, volume calculations, utility coordination, and construction plan production
• Prepare legal description and easement exhibits
• Coordinate with project teams to resolve design issues and meet project deadlines
• Help maintain quality standards and provide guidance to junior drafting staff

NRM is looking for an experienced CAD Technician to support our growing civil engineering and land surveying team. This is a hands‑on technical role for someone who knows Civil 3D inside and out, takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work, and enjoys collaborating with surveyors, engineers, and project managers.

What You’ll Do

• Ability to interpret engineering plans, specifications, and legal descriptions
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills

Experience with Carlson Survey, MicroStation, GIS, LiDAR, BIM, or local municipal and DOT standards is a plus.
