LaBella Associates is seeking a Survey Field Coordinator in our Latham, NY office. You will support land surveying and civil/environmental projects, supervising staff and coordinating office and field activities.
The role emphasizes data quality, plan interpretation, and preparing CAD documents using Trimble and Autodesk software. Strong communication and leadership are essential.
We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Survey Field Coordinator opening in our Latham, NY office. As a Survey Field Coordinator for LaBella, you will perform survey work relating to topographic and boundary surveying, construction staking, structure monitoring and other surveying applications in support of land surveying, civil engineering, architectural and environmental projects. You will be working under the direction of Licensed Professional Surveyors.
Duties:
This is primarily an office position with field assignments as required.
Maintaining quality of data in the office; independently perform accurate simple calculation as needed to complete surveys.
Completing analysis of data reduction, computations, and mapping.
Oversees preparation of CAD documents developed by other technical staff ensuring document quality, consistency, and production efficiency.
Performs records research and drafting as well as technical report writing and review.
Prepares cost estimates and assists with proposals.
Coordinates work schedules and assignments for office staff.
Lead office staff to achieve client & project objectives.
Supervises, trains, mentors, and coaches jr. office and field staff.
Daily coordination with department manager, field coordinator, project managers and other office staff to meet and understand the goals, challenges, schedule, budget, and expectations of a project.
Works with field coordinator to maintain log of calibration records for survey equipment.
Continually advance knowledge with upgrades in technology, equipment, and software.
Operates advanced survey technology including GPS, Robotic Total Stations, digital and differential levels, UAV, high-definition scanners, and data collections devices.
Follow prescribed safety practices for Land Surveying.
Build client relationships.
