Job summary

Entrust in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to design, prototype, and implement ideas into production. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, support on-site design activities, and have some flexibility to work from home when appropriate.

Responsibilities include creating drawings, BOMs, leading reviews, sourcing components, prototyping, testing, and applying manufacturing knowledge to ensure high-quality parts throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product development experience.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD software.
• Ability to interpret and create engineering drawings and specifications.
• Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US

Job description

Position Overview: Join a talented and dynamic team of mechanical engineers and designers developing systems used to print and personalize credit cards, passports, driver’s licenses, national IDs and more. You will be responsible for designing, prototyping, and implementing ideas into production. You will receive direction from Mechanical Engineers and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to deliver accurate, timely results. This role is based onsite to support hands‑on design and collaboration, with flexibility to work from home when appropriate.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience with injection-molded, plastic-part design.
• Experience with sheet metal, machined part design.
• 3D printing experience and maintenance.

• Detail‑oriented, self‑directed, organized and deadline driven.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, team‑focused environment.
• Understand GD&T standards (ASME Y14.5).
