Highridge Medical in Westminster, CO is seeking a CAD Designer I to create and revise detailed drawings and 3D models for implant and instrument systems, ensuring designs are manufacturable and testable.

You will work with surgeons and cross-functional teams in Marketing, Regulatory, Quality, and Sales, mentoring junior designers and guiding projects from conception to launch. Occasional travel up to 5% is expected; a two-year technical degree and 3+ years in orthopedic design are preferred.

Qualifications

• Two year technical degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of experience in product design, ideally in Orthopedic devices.
• Strong GD&T and drafting standards with tolerance analysis experience.
• Proficient in SolidWorks CAD design for manufacturability and integration.
• Experience with PDM systems and project metrics reporting.

Responsabilités

• Designs new products from conception to launch and modifies existing products while complying with procedures, standards, and Quality System Requirements.
• Designs innovative, clinically driven solutions by anticipating surgical needs and transforms concepts into commercialized implant and instrument systems.
• Ability to design mating components / assemblies and apply advanced tolerance analysis.
• Generates CAD models and engineering drawings primarily within SolidWorks and archives data in a PDM system.
• Designs complex mechanisms/instrumentation and implements advanced design principles.
