• Equivalent to Associate's Degree: High School/GED + 4 years related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience.

Responsibilities

• Designs components or portions of systems and modifies existing designs to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations.
• Coordinates design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning groups to ensure ease of manufacture and adherence to specifications.
• Utilizes CAD/CAM tools (NX/CATIA) to develop original layouts, sketches, and design proposals.
• Excludes incumbents whose work is primarily drafting.
