Job summary

Oil States International in Arlington, TX seeks a Designer Draftsman II to create detailed drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks under minimal supervision. You will detail product lines, inspect parts, and support CAD Operator-I and engineers.

Qualifications include an associate degree or drafting certificate with 2–4 years of drafting experience (or 4+ years without a degree), strong AutoCAD skills, familiarity with SolidWorks, and good communication.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or drafting certificate with 2–4 years of drafting experience; or at least 4 years of related experience without a degree; or at least 5 years of related experience without a certificate.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Experience with SolidWorks; basic math skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is desirable

Responsibilities

• Use AutoCAD and Solid Works to produce final drawings from marked-up drawings, sketches or written instructions.
• Use AutoCAD and Solid Works to detail OSI-Arlington product lines.
• Become familiar with product inspection tools and measurement of actual parts to produce drawings.
• Use electronic document control system for logging in and checking out drawings.
