Job Summary
Langan is seeking a Senior CAD Designer to join its collaborative team in Orlando, or Jacksonville FL. This individual will play a key role in planning and designing civil engineering projects for federal and private land development. You will have the opportunity to work as part of a passionate, collaborative team on exciting projects across various market sectors.

Job Responsibilities

• Use reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, tests, and aerial photographs to assess soil, terrain, hydrological, topographical, and geological data for project planning and design;
• Prepare civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure project documents in collaboration with Project Engineers using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other software;
• Perform zoning and feasibility assessments for development projects;
• Conduct field inspections as needed;
• Draft and review reports including feasibility studies, stormwater management, technical specifications, and utility reports;
• Interact professionally with clients and subcontractors in collaboration with supervisors;
• Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Sciences, enrollment in a Civil Engineering bachelor’s program, demonstrated equivalent knowledge, or extensive AutoCAD/Civil 3D training;
• 3+ years of site/civil design experience, including site planning, grading, stormwater management, drainage, and soil erosion;
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal land use permitting;
• Strong AutoCAD and Civil 3D skills;
• Occasional travel to project sites and client locations;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Strong attention to detail, analytical, multitasking, and judgment skills;
• Ability to work independently and in teams;
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
