Job summary

Spitzer Industries is hiring a CAD Designer in Houston, TX for full-time, hourly, nonexempt work. Responsibilities include creating 2D P&ID’s, 3D vessel and GA models, and piping drawings to support engineering and fabrication activities.

Proficiency in AUTOCAD, CADWorx P&ID, CADWorx Plant, and related tools is required with at least seven years of design experience. You will work with the Design Manager, report on deliverables, and handle multiple tasks while adhering to drafting standards.

Qualifications

• Strong background in 3D process skid design and 2D fabrication drawings.
• Minimum 7 years of professional design experience in process skid design.
• Proficient in AUTOCAD, CADWorx P&ID, CADWorx Plant, CADWorx structural, Vault, NavisWorks, Isogen.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop 2D P&ID’s as required.
• Develop 3D vessel models and 2D detail drawings from reports and vendor cut sheets.
• Develop 3D structural models and 2D detail drawings for packaged equipment and to support piping.
• Develop 3D piping models based on P&ID’s.
• Develop 3D GA models and 2D detail drawings for packaged equipment with tagging and dimensions.
• Route interconnecting pipe above/below ground between skid packages and site equipment.
• Generate BOM’s for 3D piping models.
• Utilize custom CUI menus, LISP routines and drafting standards.
