Job summary

Gables Search Group is seeking a Senior C# / SQL Software Engineer for a national retail and services organization. This fully remote role focuses on C#/.NET development and advanced SQL for high-volume file processing.

You'll build .NET 8 microservices and REST APIs, optimize T-SQL, and modernize data integrations from Informatica to SnapLogic. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and prefer Eastern/Central time zones.

Qualifications

• Production experience building C#/.NET applications and complex SQL for high-volume batch processing.
• Experience with file-processing or ingestion pipelines.
• Strong SQL performance tuning skills.
• Experience with microservices and REST APIs.
• Familiarity with data integration tools like Informatica, SnapLogic, Kafka, Salesforce, or Kubernetes is helpful.

• Process CSV, flat-file, fixed-width, EDI, and proprietary formats
• Write and optimize complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and scripts

Job description

We are recruiting for a national retail and services organization seeking a Senior C# / SQL Software Engineer. This is a true 50/50 role combining C#/.NET software development with advanced SQL Server and T-SQL development.

This is not a data analytics, reporting, DBA, or traditional data engineering position. Candidates must have production experience developing C#/.NET applications and writing and optimizing complex SQL for high-volume file and batch processing.

This position does not offer employment sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

This is a fully remote position with preference for candidates residing in the Eastern or Central time zones, particularly Illinois, Texas, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, or Georgia.

What You’ll Do

• Develop high-volume file-processing applications using C# and .NET
• Process CSV, flat-file, fixed-width, EDI, and proprietary file formats
• Write and optimize complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and scripts

What You’ll Bring

• Approximately equal strength in C#/.NET and SQL Server/T-SQL development

• Advanced SQL development and database performance-tuning skills
• Experience processing complex files and large record volumes
• Experience developing microservices and REST APIs
• SnapLogic, Informatica, Kafka, Salesforce integration, or Kubernetes experience is helpful
