Boxbot seeks a Senior Software Engineer to build production-grade software for large-scale automation. You will influence architecture, contribute to the roadmap, and work across hardware and software teams to ship robust systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with deep expertise in C++.
• Experience building software for complex physical systems such as robotics and automation.
• Ability to architect reliable, maintainable software for real-world systems.
• Experience with real-time or near-real-time systems, multi-threading, Linux.
• Strong debugging across software, hardware, networking, timing, and integration issues.
• Ability to lead technical direction and mentor other engineers.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Build high-performance, reliable C++ software interfacing with robotics and automation hardware.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, firmware, controls, and field teams to deliver integrated systems.
• Debug and resolve real-world system issues across software, hardware, and networking.
• Promote code quality, reliability, testability, and maintainability via best practices.
• Contribute to product roadmap decisions, technical strategy, and platform architecture.
• Assist deployments at customer sites ensuring robust, scalable solutions.
