Job summary

Alteryx is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to advance the integration between the C++ engine and Python runtime, including SDK plugins and the Python Tool.

You will mentor engineers and focus on reliability, performance, and tooling while delivering native-Python interop across multiple Python versions. The role is fully remote in the US, requires 3+ years of Python/C++ experience, and a degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Python and C++ design, development, and debugging experience
• Design, implement, and maintain embedded Python runtime integration in a predominantly C++ engine/host environment
• Develop and troubleshoot SDK engine plugin components (e.g., gRPC-based engine plugins, streaming pipelines) in C++ with Python-facing APIs

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded Python runtime integration and Python Tool components in the C++ engine.
• Troubleshoot native library, runtime, SDK, and streaming issues across supported Python versions.
• Improve reliability and performance while maintaining CI/CD tooling and mentoring engineers.
