The Phoenix Group Advisors in New York seeks a Senior Software Engineer with a strong C#/.NET foundation who has expanded into AI development using Python, LLMs, and agentic technologies. This hands-on role focuses on building production applications that blend traditional enterprise software with emerging AI capabilities.

The ideal candidate has years designing C#/.NET applications and backend systems and more recently building AI-powered apps, agents, MCP integrations, and Python-based AI

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong C#/.NET proficiency, including REST APIs
• Experience integrating LLMs and AI agents into production software
• Cloud experience with Azure or AWS

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise apps using C#, .NET, ASP.NET MVC/Core, SQL, and modern web tech.
• Build and integrate AI-powered functionality into existing and new apps.
• Develop Python-based AI services, APIs, workers, and automation workflows.
• Design and build LLM-powered applications, agents, and agentic workflows.
• Develop and integrate MCP servers and MCP-enabled tools.
• Integrate apps with OpenAI, Claude, Ollama, or similar LLM platforms.
• Secure integrations between AI services and internal systems.
• Focus on scalable, maintainable, testable, secure, high-performance software.
• Help establish engineering standards for agentic and AI-assisted development.
• Evaluate new AI tools and model platforms; participate in architecture and code reviews.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into production solutions.
