Job summary

Belvedere Trading in Chicago seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design and build high-performance market data systems, ingest raw data feeds, implement CME and Cboe protocols, and optimize concurrency and latency for trading systems.

You will work with traders, researchers, and engineers to solve complex challenges across technology, math, and finance, with a track record of scalable, architecture-driven solutions that support business goals.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience with C++ and Python scripting
Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms
Experience in high performance, multi-threaded, network-programming
Demonstrated success in delivering automated trading systems is a plus
Ability to take full ownership of projects from design to maintenance
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to coach juniors
Degree in computer science or related engineering discipline
Experience with financial market concepts including options trading

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize scalable, extensible trading applications across asset classes
Collaborate with traders to build scalable, highly available systems
Improve development process efficiency and reduce operational risk
Maintain, support, and troubleshoot critical trading applications
Deliver quality systems through automated testing and peer reviews
Apply industry knowledge in innovative ways
Promote best practices throughout development
