Job summary

Gatik, a leader in autonomous middle-mile logistics, seeks Senior/Staff Software Engineers with strong C++ production experience for its autonomy stack. Onsite in Mountain View, you will design, develop, test and validate features for our autonomous fleet.

You will collaborate with researchers and infra teams, applying SDLC best practices to enhance safety and reliability of software. A deep C++ background and large-scale systems experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Robotics or related field.
• Master's or PhD preferred.
• 7+ years of industry experience in production software.
• Expert C++ developer with strong build-system experience (Conan, CMake, Bazel).
• Experience with Jira and Confluence for project management.
• Proven system integration and software architecture skills.
• Strong background in linear optimization, linear algebra or statistics.
• Experience building frameworks and infrastructure for large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support real-time mission-critical software for the autonomy stack.
• Collaborate with research engineers to create maintainable, testable designs.
• Architect and resolve complex integration issues across the software stack.
• Lead SDLC best practices to improve safety of autonomy software.
• Partner with Infrastructure and DevOps for secure, scalable delivery to the fleet.
• Mentor autonomy researchers and algorithm developers on performance.
• Translate requirements into high-level designs and plans for safe AV tech.
• Conduct code and design reviews and provide technical guidance.
