Aegis Search is hiring a senior C++ engineer for a small software team building an advanced IoT device with multiple cameras and sensors. The role sits at the application layer above firmware, focusing on real-time video pipelines and multithreaded systems.

Based in San Francisco with hybrid work, the position offers a base salary of $200k–$220k, plus equity and a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities to collaborate with ML/CV and embedded engineers on cutting-edge AI-driven camera

Qualifications

• Strong commercial C++ experience - at least 4 years.
• Embedded Linux experience - Yocto would be ideal.
• GStreamer or comparable streaming framework experience.
• Multithreading experience.

Responsibilities

• Building and extending application level C++ on an embedded Linux platform.
• Working with GStreamer pipelines.
• Designing multithreaded, synchronization heavy code.
• Working closely with both embedded and ML/CV engineers.
