Job summary

Siemens EDA in Waltham, MA is seeking a Senior Xpedition Software Engineer to advance the C++ based compiler for emulation hardware. You will analyze designs to map them onto emulator resources and collaborate with HAV hardware and software teams in a multi-site, international environment.

The role requires strong C++ on Linux, knowledge of digital logic and timing analysis, and experience with Verilog/VHDL, Modelsim or similar tools.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering + 5 years of EDA industry experience OR MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering + 3 years of EDA industry experience OR PhD in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• The EDA industry experience should be in software development developing large C++ applications as part of a team.
• Demonstrated experience with algorithm and data structure design.
• Understanding of gate level digital logic design.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve the part of the compiler that maps designs to emulator resources.
• Analyze clock/data networks, partitioning, placement and synthesis for mapping.
• Design and implement new functionality for the compiler and support current features.
• Write system-level tests and collaborate with HAV hardware and other software teams.
