Job summary

The Legacy Companies in Avondale, PA is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead strategic and tactical procurement for materials, components, and services required to support manufacturing and operations.

You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate terms, monitor inventory, and ensure material availability across multiple locations while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to balance cost, quality, lead times, and operational needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive purchasing, procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and complex purchasing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing activities for materials, components, finished goods, supplies, and services across locations.
• Create, issue, and manage purchase orders with accurate quantities, pricing, specs, and delivery terms.
• Monitor open orders and communicate with suppliers about status, shortages, and delays.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Operations, Planning, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and others to ensure material availability.
• Identify cost savings opportunities and drive supplier consolidation and efficiency.
• Maintain purchasing data within ERP/MRP systems and analyze trends.
