Job summary

Naterra International, Inc. is seeking a Senior Buyer / Planner to lead supplier execution and optimize inventory across beauty, baby care, and personal care products.

You will translate demand plans into purchase orders, manage supplier performance, and protect on-time delivery while reducing costs. Collaborating with Demand Planning, Operations, Finance, and external manufacturers, you will validate capacity, set inventory targets, and drive continuous improvement in procurement and supply

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain favorable supplier relationships with performance metrics, service levels, and cost targets.
• Coordinate with Demand Planning to confirm supply feasibility against the demand plan.
• Serve as feasibility gatekeeper for supplier execution during product launches, ensuring capacity and lead times.
• Oversee onboarding and ongoing management of suppliers and manufacturing partners; collaborate with Quality on supplier quality.
• Own supply planning, inventory strategy, and procurement execution based on S&OP output.
• Translate demand into executable purchase plans aligned with supplier capabilities and inventory targets.
• Optimize inventory levels to balance service levels and costs; lead cross-functional execution to reduce excess/obsolete inventory.
• Act as escalation point for supplier performance, delays, and supply constraints.
• Represent Supply Chain in cross-functional initiatives with feasibility-based recommendations.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation within procurement workflows.

About The Role

The Senior Buyer / Planner is responsible for leading the efficient execution of approved supply plans, ensuring supplier performance, inventory health, and on-time product availability in support of business objectives. This role owns procurement execution, supplier management, and supply feasibility, translating the approved demand plan into actionable and reliable supply outcomes.

This position partners closely with Demand Planning, Operations, Finance, and external manufacturing partners to validate capacity, manage inventory targets, mitigate risk, and resolve supply constraints. The role is accountable for cost control, operational execution, supplier performance, and continuous improvement across procurement and supply execution processes.

The Senior Buyer / Planner leads a team responsible for purchase order management, supplier escalation, and supply tracking, ensuring the business can meet service level expectations while minimizing excess, obsolescence, and operational risk.

What You'll Do

• Manage and maintain favorable relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other business partners; ensuring performance metrics, service levels, cost targets, and contractual commitments are met.
• Partner with Demand Planning to confirm supply feasibility against the approved demand plan, including capacity, lead times, and inventory implications.
• Serve as the feasibility gatekeeper for supplier execution during Stage Gate and product launch cycles, validating manufacturing capability, capacity, lead times, and inventory readiness to protect on-time delivery and reduce execution risk.
• Support the onboarding and ongoing management of qualified suppliers and manufacturing partners; partner with Quality on supplier quality management and compliance.
• Own supply planning, inventory strategy, and procurement execution based on the approved S&OP output.
• Translate approved demand into executable purchase plans, ensuring alignment with supplier capabilities and inventory targets.
• Optimize inventory levels to balance service levels, minimize carrying costs, and mitigate excess or obsolete inventory risk; lead cross-functional execution to reduce E&O.
• Act as the primary escalation point for supplier performance, production delays, and supply constraints.
• Represent the Supply Chain function in cross-functional initiatives, providing supply execution insights and feasibility-based recommendations.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and automation within procurement and supply execution workflows.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 5+ years of experience in the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Manufacturing Operations
• Demonstrated experience managing suppliers, purchase execution, and inventory planning in a complex, fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical capability with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis or ERP tools
• Proven ability to build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external manufacturing and supplier partners
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and execution risks simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of resolving supplier, capacity, and execution related challenges
• Clear and effective communication skills with the ability to present fact-based, execution-focused recommendations
