Job summary

Benchmark Electronics is seeking a procurement/ materials specialist to procure production, equipment, and MRO items. You will negotiate with approved vendors, ensure timely deliveries, and manage supplier performance within MRP constraints.

You will analyze purchase orders, monitor the materials pipeline, and support cost reductions through improved procurement processes. Strong communication and organization are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience with Material Resource Planning (MRP) processes and procurement.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to work with diverse groups and maintain confidentiality.
• Extensive experience with negotiation and supplier management.
• Understanding of electronics procurement and related agreements.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes customer purchase orders for compliance to contract terms.
• Executes MRP and monitors materials pipeline to meet requirements.
• Attains inventory goals and ensures materials availability for production.
• Negotiate terms with suppliers to reduce costs and improve delivery.
• Manage corporate contracts and supplier adherence to terms.
• Coordinate with procurement team to resolve issues and implement improvements.
• Prepare quotations, evaluate price reasonableness, and analyze forecasts.
