Job summary

Hammond Power Solutions is seeking a Buyer Level 3 to independently own material sourcing and scheduling within defined plant parameters. You will balance cost, supply risk, and production continuity while driving supplier performance and inventory health.

In this role you will lead negotiations, manage ERP data accuracy, and coordinate with engineering, shipping, and production teams to ensure timely, quality materials for manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related field.
• 5–7 years in Materials Management (Purchasing or Production Planning).
• Lean experience is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP tools.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Source strategic and non-strategic commodities aligning with plant requirements and cost objectives.
• Lead day-to-day commercial negotiations within defined authority.
• Own sourcing decisions and supplier selection rationale.
• Monitor market conditions and adjust sourcing strategies.
• Oversee material scheduling to ensure uninterrupted production and inventory efficiency.
• Manage supplier performance and resolve issues.
• Support plant operations with materials planning and process improvements.
