Job summary

Epic in Madison, Wisconsin is seeking a procurement professional for our culinary department, responsible for sourcing large industrial appliances, merchandising equipment, and a wide range of small wares. The role involves working with chefs, catering, events, facilities, and accounting teams to secure high‑quality goods while balancing cost and sustainability.

You will build and maintain vendor relationships, prioritize local sourcing where possible, and benefit from relocation assistance,

Job description

Please note that this position is based on our campus in Madison, WI, and requires relocation to the area. We recruit nationally and provide financial relocation assistance.

Play a key role in the procurement for our culinary department including large industrial appliances and merchandising equipment, as well as small wares like spatulas, whisks, and plates and large quantities of food and consumables. The Epic culinary department serves around 12,000 meals per day to our customers, staff, and visitors. We regularly update and expand our culinary facilities to support our daily menus featuring a variety of regional, international, and seasonal offerings, producing continuous sourcing needs.

In addition to collaborating with our chefs and other stakeholders (including catering, events, facilities, and accounting teams), you will establish, develop, and maintain relationships with a variety of vendors. We prioritize sourcing locally whenever possible and work with purveyors from local farmers to national wholesalers to strike the right balance between quality, sustainability, and cost.
