Job Title: Senior Buyer – Avionics / Electronics Manufacturing

Schedule: 40 Hours/Week (Monday–Friday)
Rate: 60 to 70$/HR On W2
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to support procurement activities for complex avionics and electronic manufacturing programs. This role is responsible for strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract administration, cost analysis, and procurement execution while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience purchasing avionics or electronic components within an aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute day-to-day procurement activities supporting avionics and electronic manufacturing programs.
- Develop, qualify, and manage strategic suppliers and contractors.
- Prepare and manage RFQs/RFPs, evaluate supplier proposals, and negotiate pricing and contract terms.
- Perform detailed cost and price analysis to ensure best value procurement decisions.
- Issue and administer fixed-price and cost-type purchase orders and contracts.
- Maintain compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and contractual requirements.
- Utilize Costpoint and/or Coupa to create and manage purchase orders and change orders.
- Ensure supplier agreements, including NDAs and terms & conditions, are executed before engagement.
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, backlog, and project risks.
- Resolve procurement-related issues involving suppliers, invoices, deliveries, receiving, and payment discrepancies.
- Conduct supplier business reviews and implement performance improvement initiatives.
- Support cross-functional teams including Engineering, Project Management, Facilities, and Operations.
- Participate in weekly project planning and status meetings.
- Support additional procurement activities as assigned by leadership.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience.
- Experience supporting avionics and/or electronic manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of sourcing and purchasing:
- Electronic components (EEE)
- Printed Circuit Boards (PCB/PCBA)
- LRUs
- Batteries
- Sensors
- Instrumentation
- Secondary structures
- Experience managing suppliers and negotiating contracts.
- Strong background in:
- Cost & price analysis
- Cost-type contracting
- Experience with Costpoint, Coupa, or similar ERP procurement systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. (U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee).
Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace or Defense industry experience.
- Experience with construction or facilities procurement.
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
