Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Senior Buyer responsible for pricing, procuring product, maintaining quality, and managing inventory levels for assigned commodities.

You will determine daily needs, order loads, handle troubled loads, and participate in weekly pricing meetings, while serving as a liaison between sales and procurement.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of purchasing experience in retail/wholesale distribution, with 2 years in produce FOB purchasing; high school required, college preferred.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• 3 to 5 years purchasing in retail, wholesale, or distribution.
• 2 years of produce-related purchasing of FOB items.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask under pressure.
