Senior Buyer

Summary of the Role: Responsible for supporting North American procurement and supply chain functions with a focus on procurement operational excellence, managing price update files, placing and tracking purchase orders, and overseeing the purchasing cycle from planning to procurement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures.
• Develop inventory reports, analyze and recommend next steps and action plans based on reporting.
• Complete forecasting initiatives with sales and product business units.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to support working capital optimization.
• Manage slow‑moving stock and collaborate with Service Centers to review ABC inventory levels and proactively manage system parameters.
• Develop and implement recommendations that drive continuous improvement in inventory and customer service levels.
• Place and track purchase orders to ensure on‑time delivery from vending partners.
• Automate procurement processes (e.g., automated purchase orders & EDI).
• Drive continuous improvement efforts (processes, systems, tools, SOPs).
• Load pricing update files into the ERP to ensure successful price updates.
• Work with supply chain, procurement, and Product Business Unit leadership to expedite implementation and maximize savings attainment.
• Develop and review root cause analysis for issues that arise.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to understand requirements and capabilities and develop solutions that meet customer needs.
• Perform other duties as trained and qualified.
