Job summary

IES, a national provider of industrial products and infrastructure services, seeks a Senior Buyer in Calera, AL. This exempt role partners with Purchasing leadership to secure equipment and materials, negotiate contracts, and ensure PO accuracy.

You’ll manage inventory and resolve supplier issues onsite. Ideal candidates have a related degree and purchasing experience, with knowledge of metals, copper, and electrical components helping in supplier selections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• Two years’ experience in purchasing or related field preferred.
• Experience purchasing copper, metal and electrical components is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with department leadership to identify equipment needs and acceptable solutions.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers and manufacturers.
• Prepare and process purchases into inventory.
• Assist with management and control of materials and consumables.
