Qualifications

• 5+ years of purchasing experience in manufacturing.
• Strong supplier management and negotiation skills.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems and PO management.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Procure materials and components to support production requirements.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance on quality, delivery, and cost.
• Resolve supplier issues and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct supplier reviews and support continuous improvement.
• Review MRP requirements and manage purchase orders.
• Identify alternate suppliers and mitigate supply risks.
• Support cost savings and sourcing initiatives.
• Maintain procurement data in ERP systems.
• Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Procure materials and components to support production requirements
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms with suppliers
• Monitor supplier performance across quality, delivery, and cost metrics
• Resolve supplier issues and implement corrective actions
• Conduct supplier reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Review MRP requirements and manage purchase orders accordingly
• Identify alternate suppliers and mitigate supply chain risks
• Support cost savings and sourcing initiatives
• Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier data within ERP systems
• Partner closely with Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams

Qualifications

• 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, or sourcing experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong supplier management and negotiation skills
• Experience using MRP/ERP systems
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills

Preferred Experience

• Aerospace, defense, electronics, industrial, or medical manufacturing
• Purchasing electronic or electrical components
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• APICS or ISM certification preferred
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation
