TRC Talent Solutions is partnering with an established organization in Alpharetta, GA to identify an experienced Buyer/Purchasing professional. This opportunity is ideal for a procurement professional with a strong background in supplier management, contract negotiations, and inventory optimization who enjoys working cross-functionally to support operational success.

Summary

The Buyer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing machinery, equipment, tools, parts, materials, supplies, and services required to support daily operations. This role ensures the organization receives high-quality products and services at competitive costs while maintaining supplier relationships and supporting efficient inventory management practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, availability, reliability, and service.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements to maximize value and support business objectives.
• Review purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders in accordance with company policies and budgets.
• Solicit and evaluate bids to support cost-effective purchasing decisions.
• Monitor supplier performance and address issues involving quality, delivery, or service concerns.
• Partner with internal departments to understand procurement requirements and ensure timely material availability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, company policies, and applicable purchasing regulations.
• Support just-in-time (JIT) inventory practices to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
• Assist with contract administration activities, including renewals and performance evaluations.
• Provide guidance regarding procurement processes, vendor negotiations, and issue resolution.
• Attend trade shows and supplier meetings to identify new products, services, and sourcing opportunities.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, pricing information, contracts, and supplier documentation.

Education & Experience

• 5–7 years of purchasing, procurement, or finance-related experience required.
• Associate degree with 9+ years of relevant experience will be considered.
• Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience will be considered.
• Internship experience may be considered toward overall qualifications.
