Job summary

FINEOS seeks a Senior Business Consultant for North America. You will report to the Manager of Business Consulting in North America and provide support across a range of customers and implementations, while promoting FINEOS and industry best practices in the region.

You will participate in internal communities, lead workshops, mentor teammates, and help plan for future project demand. Travel up to 20% is required as part of client engagements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in a consulting and client-facing role.
• 10+ years of experience in Life/Health Insurance or related sectors.
• 5+ years leading software implementations.

Responsibilities

• Participate in knowledge sharing and communities of practice relevant to Business Consultancy.
• Lead workshops and design sessions with clients and stakeholders.
• Plan for project delivery and manage risks during implementations.
• Mentor team members and ensure quality of deliverables.

We are currently recruiting for the role of Senior Business Consultant for North America. This is a key role in the region, reporting to the Manager of Business Consulting in North America. The successful applicant will provide support across a range of customers and implementations, while also instilling FINEOS and industry best practices in the region amongst the business consulting team. This role will:

Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)

• Participant in internal or external communities which have an emphasis on skills or knowledge which are directly relevant to the Business Consultancy Practice, e.g.

• Demonstrated experience of providing mentoring;
• Excellent communicator, with an ability to set clear expectations around project delivery responsibilities for team;
• Forward thinking, with an ability to plan for future project demand and to identify team and individual skill requirements;
• Expertise in one or more lines of business FINEOS supports(Absence, Life, Disability, Supplemental, Policy, Billing, Underwriting).
• Project implementations utilizing agile implementation methodologies and have been a key participant in all facets(hands-on), including PI Planning, grooming, user story writing and delivery.
• Able to assess project risks, particularly around implementation process;

Education and/or Experience

• 10+ years of experience in a consulting and client-facing role
• 10+ years of experience working within Life, Accident and Health Insurance Sector
• 5+ years of experience working on software implementations in a leadership capacity

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Experienced in providing regular project and team feedback, as well as measurable opportunities for improvement.
• Excellent Client Management and Influencing skills, with capacity to lead key planning, requirements & design workshops when necessary
• Comfortable communicating and presenting to Senior Management(internal and external)

Technical Skills

• Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, Success Factors, etc.

Language Skills

• Ability tospeaktheEnglish languageproficiently, both verbally and in writing.

Travel Requirements

Travel 20% of the time to customer sites for project assistance, consultancy reviews, pre-sales studies and project engagements is required.
